Midcentury design elements, low rooflines and a subdued color palette gracefully blend this incredible custom home into its lakefront setting. The main house is cradled atop fourteen helical piers, the height of its crawl space carefully calculated to keep the home above the water table while simultaneously as low to the ground as possible for aesthetic purposes. Oversized windows and multiple doors - one, a 20-ft bi-folding glass door off the recreation room - line the back of the home, encouraging interaction with the lake and outdoors, while an open floor plan integrates the kitchen, living and dining rooms and keeps occupants feeling connected. Sleeping quarters here are peaceful sanctuaries, including isolated and sound-deadened master and guest suites, children’s bunk rooms, an accessory guest building, and even a quiet spot reserved for the family’s beloved Airstream trailer. Plentiful amenities make this home the ultimate refuge for summer vacations, including an outdoor shower, a firepit, a swinging daybed for lazy afternoons on the back porch, a built-in dog kennel and a regulation bocce ball court.
